There were 381 foreclosures in Vermont during these three months. I built the same amount of houses out of cardboard, a material associated with homelessness. Volunteers at the Vermont Studio Center assisted in construction. The houses were a little larger than monopoly game pieces.

Upon completion, houses were put up for sale. Each house had a corresponding deed card listing the price, mortgage rate, and a statistic about foreclosure in the United States. Buyers took on a 3 month mortgage and mailed in payments. All payments received were donated to Habitat for Humanity.
